SHREVEPORT, LA – Mr. James Y. Holloway, 80, died at Schumpert Medical Center on Monday, September 21, 1992 after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home, Thursday, September 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. John Rogers officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the 12th District Dept. of La. Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard.
Mr. Holloway was a member of the American Legion Post #5, Oakland, CA and served as Past Commander in 1966 and 1973, Past Vice Commander in 1971, 1972 and 1978 an and was Past Adjutant from 1979 to 1989. He was also a member of VFW #2727 and the 40/8.
He is survived by Mrs. William Barret, Clara Holloway and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be members of the American Legion Post #14.
