Josephine Agnes Wolak, age 84, of Monticello and formerly of Minneapolis, died Tuesday January 12, 2010 at New River Medical Center, Monticello.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. The Rev. Robert Kieffer will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the church in Gilman. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.
Josephine Wolak was born June 22, 1925 in Granite Ledge Township, Benton County to John and Frances (Smelter) Wolak. Josephine worked at an airplane factory in St. Cloud and for many years at Ben Franklin in Minneapolis. She retired in 1986.
Josephine loved to read, listen to music and watch black & white movies and had many record and book collections. She was known for her calm manner. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary's, Minneapolis.
She is survived by her brother and sisters; Alphonse, Gilman; Angeline Woolhouse, Monticello; Florence Heffron, Streamwood, Il and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sister; Henry, Alexander, twin brother, Joseph, Victor and Selma Potter.
