THEODORE HERBERT (born Nov 4, 1891, died Jan 6, 1972; married Marie Anderson, 1887-1969)

SELMA J (born Feb 1893, died Nov 18, 1863; married Earl Jewett Nelson Sr., 1888-1971)

By 1905, their father Otto's occupation on the census (which he took) had changed from "farmer" to "agent," and the 1910 census, also taken by her father, indicated that he was an agent for a road (?) machinery business and that 19-year old Theodore worked at a lumber mill.

Edna moved to Chicago when she came of age. In 1930, she was 33 and she and sister Norma were boarding at a house owned by Jay and Alice Tibbetts, on West Lake Street (Ward 37, Block 442). Edna was employed as an infant's nurse in private duty. Norma was a comptometer operator. The comptometer was the first commercially successful keyed calculator.
