Earned BS degree in Floriculture June 13, 1921 at University of Illinois.
He worked the family business(founded by Clarence), "Chandler Landscape and Floral Co", in Kansas City; as architectural and landscape engineer along with his brother, George. Upon George's passing in 1954, he assumed the reigns of the business.
Edwin was a WWI Navy veteran, as landsman for electrician and as radio man 2nd Class, with honorable discharge. He served actively from 1917 to 1919; and in the Naval reserve of the 9th Naval District, Great Lakes, Illinois until 1921.
Being the father of Scott Chandler, he has two grandchildren, one of whom(a granddaughter) ultimately leaves him three great grandchildren.
