From the obit of the Nashville Tennessean newspaper of wednesday morning, November 5, 1925, p. 10: At 10 o'clock, tuesday evening, November 3, 1925, at a local infirmary, Mrs. Roberta A. Johnson, widow of the late D. R. Johnson, and mother of James W. and Marion Johnson. She was a sister of W. B. Armistead and Mrs. Mary A. Hughes of this city and James W. Johnson of Columbia, TN. Leaving the funeral home of M. S. Combs and company at Centennial Park, at 9:30 o'clock, this (thursday) morning. Services will be conducted at the Glen Leven Presbyterian Church at 10 o'clock by Rev. W. H. Armistead of Franklin, TN, assisted by Dr. W. C. Alexander. The following friends will attend as pallbearers: West H. Morton, William Berry, Charles C. Trabue, Ed Burr, Carl M. Armistead, Garnett S. Andrews, William Woods Armistead and J. Washington Moore, Jr. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. (End of obit). Roberta Johnson died of a cerebral hemorrhage. She was buried on November 5, 1925 in the family plot at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, TN. She was the daughter of William Blair Armistead and Robina Woods Armistead.
