Lorraine Goodwin was born near Missouri City, MO,on March 7,1917 to Waller Smith and Marie Woods Smith.She was one of 8 children, all of them preceded her in death.
She spent most of her early years on a farm near Atherton,Mo.She later moved to Roscoe,Mo. where she meant and married Burrell Stockstill in 1938.They were divorced and she married Otis(Buck)Goodwin in Stevenson,Wa.
Lorraine worked at the 4 Corners Diner in El Dorado Springs,Mo.for several years, and than when she moved to Wa.state she worked at the old MT.Adams Inn in Bingen, Wa. for 25 years.When she retired she and Buck moved to Mo., and they lived there till he passed away, and than she moved back to Wa.where her children lived,and she stayed there until her oldest daughter and her husband retired and moved to Arkansas, and she moved with them.She did very well in her life. She worked hard and had many talents,sewing, and fancy embroidery,quilting,cooking, and she got along well with people.One of her great sadnesses was the death of her Grandson Dean Vezina at a young age in a logging related accident. Those who survive her are her daughters,Nita Mae Reeves and her husband Cletis of Green Forest.AR.,Rose Marie Schwinge and husband Jim of Underwood, WA.,Linda Ann Dills and her husband Kenny of Arlington, WA.,also 11 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren,and 21 great-great grandchildren.
She was cremated and her ashes placed in a grave next to her husband Buck in Love Cemetery in Cedar Co. Mo.
