Bruno P. Valdéz, age 82, has gone home to be the Lord.
Bruno was proudly decorated World War II veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Bruno was very independent until the end.
Bruno is survived by three sons, Alfredo Valdéz, Manuel Valdéz and his wife, Theresa and Peter Valdéz, one sister, Ramona Lovato, four grandchildren, Roberta Valdez, Ina Fischer and her husband, Monte, Denise Chávez and her husband, John and Ken Valdéz and his wife, Jennifer, four great-grandchildren, Breanna Fischer, Kaitlyn Fischer, Alexandra Chávez and Justin Valdéz. Bruno was a great father and friend and will be deeply missed by his loving family.
A Rosary for Mr. Valdéz will be recited on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alfredo Valdéz, Manuel Valdéz, Peter Valdéz, Ken Valdéz, Monte Fischer and Johnny Baca. Honorary pallbearer will be David Baca.
