Obituary from the Shreveport Times newspaper, Feb. 12, 1985, Tuesday, p. 8:

SHREVEPORT – Services for Mr. Floyd V. Lindley, 65, of Shreveport, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday February 13 at the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Price Harris, associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation: 2 p.m. Tuesday until service time Wednesday at Wellman's.

Mr. Lindley, a truck driver, died Monday February 11, 1985, at V.A. Medical Center in Shreveport after a long illness. Born in Muncie, Indiana, he had been a resident of Shreveport for five years. Mr. Lindley was a veteran of World War II. He was of Baptist affiliation.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret G. Lindley of Shreveport; one son, Floyd Leroy Lindley of Shreveport; four daughters, Patty Jean Herbert and Floyette Louise Doughty, of Shreveport, Barbara Ann Adams of Rialto, Calif. and Margaret Marie Lindley of Shreveport; six grandchildren and one great-grandson; two brothers, Charles Henry Lindley of Augusta, Ga. and George Clayton Lindley of Sacramento, Calif.

Pallbearers: Mark Herbert, Mack Lanning, Randy Lanning, Skip Lindley, Nat Ritterman, Keith Smith.
