She was born on July 6, 1929 in Hale, the daughter of Marshall E. and Lida Vinson Macklin.
Mrs. Corzette graduated from Chillicothe High School and was employed at Boss Manufacturing of Chillicothe for 15 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Chillicothe.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Twitchel of Chillicothe and Stephanie D. Corzette of Owensboro, Ky.; two sons, William W. Corzette, Jr. of Pensacola, Fla. and Michael E. Corzette of Chillicothe; two brothers, Vernon Macklin of Macon and Henry Macklin of Salisbury; three sisters, Dr. Ruth V. Jean of Black River Falls, Wis., Sandra Lorick of Ladson, S.C., and Phyliss Gwynn of Key West, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 1993 at the Church of Christ, officiated by Chip Green. Burial will be at Coloma Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Velma Corzette Memorial Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman-Wagy-Singer-Gordon Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
