Doris Hope Workman,69, of Hico, departed this life to be with her Lord & Savior on Friday, September 14, 2007, at her home, following a long illness.

Doris was born December 10, 1937 in Hico, WV, she was a daughter of the late Albert Burton Dutton & Mary Margaret Harper Dutton. She was preceded by a brother, Buddy Lee Dutton.

Doris was an active member of the Victor United Methodist Church , where she served as the womens' Sunday School Teacher, she cheerfully served her community by volunteering at the mission in Ansted and helped with the share program. She worked for various restaurants where she was the head cook.

Doris was married to Ira Shelton Workman for 48 years. They had three children; one son, Steve & his wife Jackie from Craigsville; 2 daughters, Melodie (Sissy) of Fayetteville, Candy & her husband Laird of Hico; seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2PM Sunday, September 16, 2007, at the Chapel of Rest Mausoleum in Victor, with Rev. Greg Auxier officiating, entombment will follow at the Chapel of Rest Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Mausoleum Chapel 1 hr. prior to the service.

She will be missed by all who knew & loved her.
