ADKISON, Audie Lessie Ionia – 92, born October 29, 1918, passed from this life into eternal life on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Jefferson (Bud) and Elizabeth Frances Green (Lizzie) Lampley; sisters, Gertie Givens, Lela Walker, Irene Lampley, Trula Stinson, Izella Sullivan, and Kathryn Stinson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, T. C. Adkison; her son, Anthony Adkison and her grandson, Kenneth Martin. Mrs. Adkison is survived by her children, Doug Martin (Susan, fiancée), Wanda Johnson (Donald), Phillip Adkison (Jean) and step-son, Bobby Adkison; grandchildren, Tim Johnson (Denise), Steve Johnson (Ann), Keith Martin (Lisa), Daniel Johnson (Ketiba), Mark Martin, Donna Taylor (Travis), Dustin Adkison, Susan Duncan (Sam), Erin Truett (Aaron), Eric Adkison, Matthew Adkison and Chris Adkison; great-grandchildren, Brian Martin (Brandi), Andrea Pilkinton (Casey), Michael Martin, Craig Johnson (Mya), John Johnson (Whitney), Josh Johnson, Amanda Goar (Tim), Ben Johnson, Jamie Johnson, Apryl Johnson, Dalton Johnson, Jesse Taylor, Ashlee Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Alison Duncan, Lillian Duncan, Elijah Duncan, Jessica Adkison, D. J. Adkison Zoey Truett and Brody Truett; great-great-grandchildren, Ryder Pilkinton, Addison Pilkinton and Ansli Pilkinton, with another on the way; sisters, Odessa Barnhill and Opelee Daughtery. Mrs. Adkison was the owner of her own beauty salon for many years in Nashville. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Although she grew up in Williamson County, she and her husband lived in Louisville, KY before retiring to Fairview. A Life Celebration will be held 11:30am Saturday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 3:00pm – 8:00pm Thursday, 1:00pm – 8:00pm Friday and 10:30am – 11:30am Saturday at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
