Robert Jackson Warren, 91, of Ansted, passed away, Sunday, January 3, 2010 , following a long illness.
Robert was born, March 30, 1918 in Ansted, Fayette Co., WV. He was a son of the late E. K. and Lucy Ella Warren.
Preceded by his wife, Madeline A. Warren. He was the last survivor of his immediate family. Preceded by four brothers, Bill, James, Arthur & Lacy; three sisters, Viola, Marietta & Fannie.
He was a member and Deacon of Ansted Baptist Church of Ansted . He was past president of local union 29, now district 17, local 6046. He retired from the coal industry in 1972.
He leaves three children to cherish his memories. Joyce Eades and husband Richard, Ella Maddy and husband Thomas, Robert E. Warren and wife Judy; grandchildren, Warren Eades, , Tammy Mills, , Tina Wood, Theresa Bennett ,Gregory Warren, Sally Warren and Billy J. Warren; great-grandchildren, Hollie Spicer, Megan Brunty, Matthew Eades, Justin Maddy, Breanna Mills; great-great grandchildren, Trenton, Trey, Hailey Mckenzia.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Ansted Baptist Church, with Rev. Warren Gilpin officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Rest Mausoleum in Victor.
