JOHN COURNIA SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK
John B. Cournia, 72 years old, who was taken to St. Joseph's hospital, St. Paul, early Friday morning, died at 10 a.m. Sunday from a heart attack. Funeral services will be held at St. Augustine's Catholic church at 9 a.m. Thursday following a short service at 8:30 a.m. at the family home, 248 First avenue south.
Mr. Courneya was a retired farmer and had lived in this city for the past five years with his wife, Esther Cournia, who survives him.
The children are all grown and live in other parts of the country. Louis lives in Crookston, Minn.; Peter in Milwaukee; Roland in Sheboygan, Mich.; Pearl (John) Mulvaney, Sheboygan; Mabel (George) Revor, Chippewa Falls, Wis.; Irene (Mathias) Kauth, Auburn, Wash.; Marjorie (Joseph E.) McGuire, Minneapolis, and Sister Genevieve, O.S.B., Villa Scholastic, Duluth.
Two brothers and sister live in Canada and another brother lives at Detroit Lakes.
Interment will be made in Calvary Cemetery.
