He was born to Robert Lee and Eva Fergason Elmore. He married Jean Claire Capps on April 19,1947 in Cleburne. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a 33rd Degree Mason with a membership to the Cleburne Lodge #315 and was past in all bodies. He was also a member of the Dallas Scottish Rite and York Rite. He was a vetern of the U.S. Army Air Corp. Leslie or Blackie as everyone knew him, was retired form the Santa Fe Railroad. He was the Equipment/Paint Forman. He worked there for 46 years. He's survivors include wife, Jean Elmore of Cleburne, son and daughter-in-law,Leslie and Kay Elmore of Baytown,Texas. Two grandchildren which were the light of his life, Les Elmore and ReAnna Elmore both of Baytown,Texas. His twin brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Katherine Elmore of Cleburne, Texas and a sister,Leda Pearl Butler of Ft.Worth, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who he was very close to. We also include a very special family friend and his family as survivors; Danney and Kathy Ratcliff along with their daughter and son-in-law and their baby daughter; Brian, Joanna, and Pam McMahan.
