Loeb Succumbs Unexpectedly In California Max Loeb, 67, of Atlanta, vice president of Sol Loeb Co., died suddenly Tuesday night while visiting relatives in Los Angeles, Calif.
He was a son of the late Sol Loeb, founder of the 91-year-old Columbus firm that bears his name.
Loeb entered his father's business after graduating from Eastman College of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
He was born in Columbus, Oct 17, 1891, the son of Sol and Carrie Sable (Sabel) Loeb. He attended Columbus public schools.
Loeb was a World War I veteran and a member of Temple Israel of Columbus.
His wife was the late Cordelia Doling.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Miriam Brooks and Mrs. Dorothy Barish, and two grandchildren, Carol and Robert Brooks, all of Los Angeles.
Funeral will be held in Columbus Sunday.
