A private family service for Michael Collins Starns, 59, Konawa, is 11 a.m.
Friday, July 22, 2011, at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Burial
follows at Konawa Cemetery, and the Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.
Public viewing for family and friends to visit and to sign the registry book is
scheduled for Thursday at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Mr. Starns died Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at a Norman hospital. He was born June 25, 1952, in Wewoka to William Frank Starns Sr. and Imogene Collins Starns.
He graduated from Pawhuska High School in 1970, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from East Central University in Ada. He worked as a tax preparation accountant in the Konawa area.
Survivors include his mother, Imogene Starns, Ada; one brother, Frank Starns and wife, Jerri of Ada; one nephew, Nichlous Ryan Starns and wife, Amy of
Gainesville, Texas; one great-niece, Bella Starns of Gainesville, Texas, several
aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Frank Starns Sr., and one
brother, Billy Gene Starns.
