EAST PEORIA - Ryan W. Choate, 32, of East Peoria died at 8:54 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2011, in Washington, Ill.
He was born Sept. 27, 1978, in Peoria to Robert E. and Patricia Gronewald Choate. He was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers.
He is survived by his father of East Peoria and his mother, Patricia Frank of Mapleton. Also surviving are one son, Kurtis of East Peoria; his fiancee, April Lyon of Washington; one brother, Robert Choate III of Washington; one sister, Cherie Choate of Bartonville; and two grandmothers, Lucille Choate of East Peoria and Bernice Gronewald of Dunlap.
Ryan worked as a painter at Caterpillar for over seven years.
He was a graduate of Illini Bluffs High School and Illinois Welding School.
He was a member of Church of Christ of Washington.
Funeral services will be held at Wright & Salmon Mortuary at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011, with Don Potts officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the Kurtis Choate Education Fund in care of CEFCU.
