Born and raised in Hammond, Indiana... graduated Hammond High 1949. Served as a Military Police Supply Clerk in Korean War 1953-1954. Married to Doreen Robinson, H.S. Sweetheart. Father to Jeff, Karen and Gregg. Also worked in the Shipping/Supply Department for Inland Steel, East Chicago and Builder's Square after retirement. Avid Hunter and Outdoorsman, and enjoyed all sporting events. Roy grew up vacationing in Tavares, Florida with his parents and family, and also took his own children and grandchildren there in Central Florida. His cremated remains were spread on Lake Dora, Father's Day 2011, a location enjoyed by 5 generations of his family and where his oldest son resides.∼Parents: Lester D. & Ruth (Koester) Gullickson.
