Born in Whitman, daughter of the late Howard S. and Mabel (Osborne) Baker, she was a 1927 graduate of Whitman HS and lived in Whitman until moving to CA in 1946.
After high school, Miss Baker was a secretary to Lee A. Dubridge at MIT for 11 years. For 5 years she worked in the USG Radiation Lab at MIT, and moved to CA to be secretary to the same man at the CA Institute of Technology until her retirement in June 1978.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Lillian Baker of Whitman; a close friend, Carol Faye Cooper of CA; and three generations of nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helen MacKenzie, Wilfred Baker, Henry A. Baker, Leslie H. Baker, Alice L. Baker and Marion L. Baker.
A graveside service was held in Colebrook Cemetery by Rev. Jordan E. Dickinson of the First Congregational Church.
