George Noble was born in Wilmington, Clinton county, Ohio, on May 22, 1826. He moved from Ohio with his parents, when a boy, to the state of Indiana, and settled on a farm near Indianapolis and afterwards moved with his parents to Wisconsin in 1847.
He was married to Lauressa Cox of Indiana in the same year. To this union were born three daughters and one son, namely, Mrs. J.C. Baxter, Mrs. F.L. Cook, Mrs. George W. Allen, and Mr. Walter Noble, all of whom are left to mourn his loss, except his wife, Lauressa, who departed this life in August 1911, and his daughter, Mrs. George W. Allen, who departed this life on July 23, 1913.
George Noble joined the Christian church in early manhood, and has been a faithful member ever since, showing his hospitality to every one who came to his home. Thus marks the passing of a pioneer to the world beyond, Sept. 19, 1913 at 5:55 pm.
The funeral was held Sunday morning with burial in Union Cemetery, William Springs, Rev. William Croft officiating.
