Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, with Rev. Bill Rucker officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Albion, with full military rites by the Albion American Legion. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
Seifert was born May 30, 1915, in Wayne County, the son of Alvie Edward and Mary Rena (Allison) Seifert. He married Mary Ellen Abby March 27, 1946, in Henderson, Ky.
He was a WWII veteran, farmer and a member of the VFW and American Legion in Albion.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Bruce Seifert, of Mt. Carmel; one daughter, Carolyn Schuh, of Ripley, Tenn.; one brother, Alvie Lee Seifert, of Jewett; two sisters, Juanita Uccardi, of Chicago and Virginia Rouse, of Charleston; four grandchildren, Darrel Schuh, of Ripley, Tenn., Eric Schuh, of Memphis, Tenn., and LeAnn and Michael Seifer, of Mt. Carmel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three infant siblings, a brother, Eugene Seifert, a sister, Marguerite Mason and a grandson, Aaron.
