Martha V. Reefer, 86, of Indiana died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 20, 1920, to Ralph and Elizabeth Orr Prugh in Atwood.

Mrs. Reefer was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Gastown. She was a resident of the Elderton area for many years before moving to Indiana 10 years ago. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Reefer enjoyed playing cards and crocheting.

She is survived by three daughters and a son: Dorothy L. Fairman of Creekside, Ella Mae Rowe of Indiana, Maxine L. Graham of Indiana and Harry B. Reefer Jr. and wife Cindy of Apollo; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a stepgrand-daughter; four great-stepgrandchildren; three great-great-step-grandchildren; two sisters and two brother: Edna Grace Fairman of Indiana, Elsie Kenly of Elderton, Harry Prugh and wife Lynn of Lancaster and Allen Prugh and wife Maxine of Gastown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry B. Reefer Sr. in 1969; two grandchildren, Glenda A. Fairman and Donald N. Rowe; five brothers and two sisters: Ernest Ray, Roy W., Arthur W., Blair W., David W. Prugh and Mary Gress and Verda Snyder.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with her nephew, the Rev. Douglas Snyder officiating. Interment will be in the Atwood Cemetery. www.bowserminich.com
