DEATH OF MRS. LYDA KENT

The death angel visited the home
of Mrs. Molly Lewis and took from the
home a dear, loving Mother. She was
loved by all in the community, and was
the Mother of eight children, six boys
and two girls, Mrs. Nannie Bradburn of
Union SC, Robert Kent of Little Pine,
Mrs. Mollie Lewis of Little Pine, Mr.
Furman Kent of Union SC, Mr. Rufus Kent
of Knoxville TN., Rounlous Kent, who is
not living, Grason Kent of East Flat Rock,
Lawson Kent (also dead)

She had several grand-children and great-
grandchildren. Some of them were present
at her funeral. She died at the age of
87 years. She was a member of the Church
of Christ _ ? (unable to read) years.

She was buried beside her husband, Samuel
J. Kent, who died 8 years ago. He was
better known as Captain Kent, as he as was
Captain in the Civil War.

Her funeral was conducted at Kalamazoo by
Mr. Bob White, of Little Pine. She was buried
in the Kent graveyard. Caney Fork singing
class did some nice singing, as she enjoyed
good singing when she was living. The child-
ren want to thank the friends who took care
of her during her sickness.

Mrs. Lidie Kent, the widow of Captain
Kent, aged 87 years, died last Saturday night.
The deceased had been helpless for two years.
Interment was in the Kent Cemetery near
Kalamazoo. 1/20/28
