[The original area of the Town of Saybrook, founded in 1635, has since been divided into five towns. The last vestiges of original Saybrook bearing the singular name of Saybrook, was renamed in 1947 as the Town of Deep River, Conn. The now owners of the FAG system refuse to add Saybrook to the pull-down menu of Middlesex County, Conn. towns, forcing a user to add an explanatory note such as this in order to properly and historically place a person who died prior to the first 1835 division of Saybrook where they were born, may have married or may have died.]
