Widely-Known Resident of Bell County Dies After Lon Illness

KILLEEN, Jan. 6. -(Spl)- Killeen mourns the passing of one of her most beloved and most widely-known citizens, H. B. Reynolds, who died in a hospital in Temple yesterday, at the age of 70. Mr. Reynolds had been in failing health for two years and had been in the hospital four weeks.

He moved to Bell county when a child about 9 or 10 years of age and had lived in this county ever since. He was in business in Nolanville for a number of years, going from there to Belton where he was actively engaged in business for several years. He retired from active business about 20 years ago and devoted his time to looking after his several farms. He moved with his family to Killeen about 15 years ago and has lived here ever since except a few months spent in New Mexico.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by two sons, Roy and Robert Reynolds, three stepchildren, Ernest Hall, Mrs. Roy Ware and Miss Hortense Hall, and two sisters, Mrs. G. A. Kaiser and Mrs. M. A. Daugherty, both of Nolanville. Mrs. Reynolds will have been dead nine years the 29th of this month.

Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 1:30 at the Christian church here by Rev. Joe Sprott, assisted by the pastor, Rev. Mr. Fry, with interment in the McDowell cemetery, west of Belton.
