Robert Clifford "Lucky" McGinnis, age 82, born 27 March 1929 in Silverton, Marion, Oregon to Clifford Robert and Anna Rykkeli McGinnis. Robert died July 16, 2011 from complications of cancer in Yachats, Lincoln, Oregon.
In 1947 he served in the US Navy, was a school bus driver and a police officer in Wyoming, and a truck driver for CR England, EFB and PST for over 20 years. He loved to play cards and always whooped who ever he was playing with. He was a caring and generous man with a big heart. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, half-brother, Kenneth McGinnis in 1984; and grandson, Skyler Lloyd in May 2004
Survivors: daughters, Kathy, Kelly, and Heather McGinnis Frandsen (Mike Powell), Kasey Stone, grandchildren: KC Lloyd, Kaden Powell, Nathan Craven, Airiel, Abraham and Brayden Julander, daughter-in-law, Brandi Craven, and by surrogacy Merlin Ocean.
Memorial service and burial to be held at Utah State Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale, Salt Lake County, Utah on 31 August 2011, 10:00 a.m.
