Dale W. Hockgeiger, 47, of Mount Carmel, Ill., died Feb. 4, 2002, at his residence.
Born March 11, 1964, in Mount Carmel, he was the son of Manville Doyle Hockgeiger, who died April 1, 1990, and Clara Bell (Wood) Hockgeiger.
Hockgeiger worked as a mechanic in the coal mine for Five Star Mining in Petersburg, Ind.
Survivors include his wife, Jana (Higginson) Hockgeiger of Mount Carmel; three sons, Derek Wayne and Levi Manville Hockgeiger, both of Martinsville, Ind., and Adam Wade Hockgeiger of Mount Carmel, Ill.; one brother, John Michael Hockgeiger of Pylesville, Md., and one sister, Marcia Kay Holland of Albion.
