Mr. Noel of 400 S. 2nd St., Bellwood, died at 3 a.m., April 1,1969 in the VA Hospital, Oakland, Pittsburgh. He was born in Tyrone on July 27, 1921, a son of Howard B. and Mary Belle (Peary)Noel. He married Catherine DeNissi of Altoona on Nov. 10, 1943 at Mt. Carmel Catholic church. Surviving are his wife, five children, Mrs Catherine Burr and Mrs. Veda Wertz of Bellwood, Sgt. Harry E. of St. Angelo,TX and Janet and Timothy at home, one grandson, his father, in Altoona, and four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Roberta Bussick and Mrs Vyrl Wilson of Tyrone RD2, Charles of Bellwood, and John W. of Louisville, KY. Mr. Noel was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellwood; the Bellwood and Tyrone Blazing Arrow fire companies and the REACT radio group. He was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean Conflict for which he was recalled in the Air Corps. He retired as a machinist for the PRR in 1965 after 24 years of service.
