Mary Elaine (Harbaugh) Smith, Fairfield, departed this life on the morning of July 25, 2011.
She was born September 19, 1948 in Gettysburg, daughter of the late Herbert L. and Adaline Marie (Sites) Harbaugh.
Mrs. Smith was a 1966 graduate of Delone Catholic High School.
Before moving to Fairfield, she lived in Blue Ridge Summit for 20 years.
Mary worked for a time at Gettysburg Shoe Factory and then was employed for 26 years at Quad Graphics in Fairfield.
Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church in Blue Ridge Summit. She was also a member of the Blue Ridge Summit Sportsman's Club.
In her free time she loved playing slot machines and shopping. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by three children, Sherri Roberts and husband Mark of Okeechobee, FL, Robert A. Smith of Greencastle, Cyndie Flasher and husband Kent of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, Shawn, Heather, Mackenzie, Kristin, Kodie, Logan, Xavier, Alyssa; three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Joe Harbaugh of Blue Ridge Summit, Jim Harbaugh of Fairfield, John Harbaugh of Fairfield, Les Harbaugh of Fairfield, Dave Harbaugh of Camp Hill; and a sister, whom she lived with for the last 20 years, Joyce "Weez" Harbaugh.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., July 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fairfield, with Father Michael Messaro Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Fairfield.
