Ada Adams Died Sept. 2
Mrs. Ada Adams, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1982 in a Havre hospital after an illness of two months. Services were held Saturday at Benton Funeral Home. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
Born Ada Pickard in Elberton, Wash., March 10, 1899, she and Fay Adams were married Jan. 20, 1920, in LaCrosse, Wash. They moved to Great Falls in 1927 and Fort Benton in 1928, where her husband started Fay Adams Implement. Her husband died in 1944 and she continued the business for ten more years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lee Bakker, Havre; two sons, Don Adams, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Eldon Adams, Layfayette, La.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia Mills, Moscow, Ida., and Mary Moody, Spokane.
