Mrs. Evie Ivey Ogburn, Vidalia, died Saturday, March 30, 2002, in Bethany Nursing Center following an extended illness.
The McDuffie County native relocated to Vidalia in 1954. She was a nursing assistant at Bethany Home for more than 20 years, and was a member of Vidalia Baptist Temple.
Surviviors include two daughters, Bonnie Williamson, Vidalia, and Billie Wardlaw, Augusta; one son, Lloyd Ogburn, Austell; one sister, Norma Logan, North Augusta, S.C.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services wer conducted Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in Vidalia Baptist Temple with the pastor, the Reverend Paul Thompson, officiating. Interment followed in Pinecrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jody Williamson, Jeffrey Williamson, Bud Wardlaw, David Wardlaw, Jason Davis, Monty Davis, Jerry Moxley and John Beall.
Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
