George was born in California, the son of John W. and Josepha or Josephine (Dutra) Kinlock, both born in California. He had a sister Mary, who was born in 1885.

In 1910, George found employment as a store clerk in a dry goods shop.

On June 5, 1917, George registered for the WWI draft. It lists his profession as being a Property Man in a Monterey theater and J.N. Rice, his employer.

He was inducted into service on November 2, 1917 and was trained as a cook. The search continues for more information.

In 1920, he was working as a carpenter at the Stage Theater in Monterey.

In 1936 he was working as a Deputy Sheriff for the Monterey County Sheriff's Office.

A 1942 draft Registration Card was found where George registered for the WWII draft at the age of 51! The card gives his address as the Sheriff's Office and his employer as being Alex H. Bordges, Sheriff of Monterey County.

George as married to Jessie (?) Kinloch, unknown when or if they had any children.

The 1953, Salinas City Directory shows George working as a Deputy Sheriff. He may have died in office.

George died in 1956 and was buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, CA.
