Frances E. Farmwald

WAKARUSA, Ind. ? Frances E. Farmwald, 79, Miller?s Merry Manor, formerly of Elkhart, died at her residence at 12:30 a.m. Friday after an extended illness. She had been a resident there one and a half years.
She was born March 17, 1925, in Elkhart to Merle and Vera (Elder) Moyer.
She was a lifetime area resident. She was a 1942 graduate of Jimtown High School and a former office manager for doctors McCormick and Doberenz in Elkhart.
She was a former member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church and member of First United Methodist Church, Goshen.
She was first married to Maynard R. Johnson on March 10, 1942, in Rockwall, Texas. They were divorced and he died Jan. 16, 1989. She married Marvin J. Farmwald on March 4, 1964. He died July 19, 1996.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy (Michael) Fisher, Middlebury, and Penny (Walter D.) Anglemeyer, Wakarusa; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Roberts, Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia A. Hooley, and a brother, Gene Moyer.
Friends may call at Jamestown United Methodist Church on Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. The funeral service is set for noon Monday at the church, with the Rev. David Henry of the church officiating.
Burial will be in the Nofziger Cemetery.
