Moved to Union Valley with brother-in-law, Levi Halbert, in 1821, and farmed 55 acres. It is believed to be the only farm in town to have stayed in the same family for that period of time. John worked for the US Post Service in Lincklaen, Chenango Co. NY. Died of asthma.
