Seth died on 12 September 1862. DIED.- At half-past 3 A.M., on Friday the 12th of September [1862], 62 years and 12 days old, Seth Hall Norris. He was interred near his residence, two miles North of Traverse City, on Sunday the 14th. The deceased came to this section of country eleven years ago. He has left behind him four stalwart boys and two girls, all good republicans and strictly temperate- and who are now on the eve of prosperity. [Communicated].
On 15 June 1870, Nancy lived with her son Charles in Elmwood township. The family owned $2,000 in real estate and $100 in personal property.
Nancy died on 31 January 1873 at Elmwood: NORRIS- In Elmwood, January 31, 1873, Mrs. Nancy Norris, wife of Seth H. Norris, aged 71 years, 8 months, and 19 days. She leaves five sons and a daughter to mourn her loss.
Seth and Nancy were buried in Oakwood Cemetery.
