Thelma Dorene Lindenberg was born on September 29, 1926 at Cambridge, Idaho, the youngest of seven children born to W.H. and Maude Bertha Jeffries.

She spent her first years in Cambridge and on August 7, 1947 she married her one and only, Wilson Jones Lindenberg. Her husband of 56 years preceded her in death in 2003 and she missed him every day. Our Mother is one of few that always had that forever and unconditional love so often missing in today's society. Her love for God and her family were always her number one focus.

Following her marriage they moved to Stibnite, ID. During that time they had two daughters, Connie and Joanne. They left Southern Idaho and moved to Spirit Lake, Hayden Lake, and finally Coeur d'Alene. During this time they were blessed with two sons, Steve and Michael. In the 1970's they moved to Boise and made this their final resting spot.

Dorene had a large family and during her last three weeks was visited by many of them. We are so thankful for the presence of each and every person who so faithfully came to her bedside to hold her hands and remind her of how very much she was loved. We can now only miss her, but know in our hearts that she is free of all pain and is now in a place of pure happiness and joy that can never be found on this earth. We love you Mom, we will miss you, but we are happy for the everlasting peace you are now surrounded by.

Dorene is survived by her four children: Connie (Tom) Moore, of Meridian, Joanne Lindenberg, of Boise, Steve Lindenberg, of New Meadows, and Michael (Jill) Lindenberg, of Boise; her last and much loved sibling, sister, Marie Murphy, of Cambridge; 11 grandchildren and 18, soon to be 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends from her church and her many years of bowling; her three sisters-in-law: Donna Ayers, of Kuna (her lifelong best friend), Mariel Jefferies, of Boise, and Janie Keckler, of UT.

Dorene was a full-time Christian wife and mother. All her awards were earned within the walls of her home and the hearts of all her family and friends. We salute you for pureness of heart and sincerity of love. In addition to, but not second, she loved God, his word, her church, and friends at Whitney Baptist. Each morning she read her Bible and did her Bible Studies. She believed God's word and her life was based on the principles of the Bible.

We would also like to thank the people of St. Luke's Hospice who enabled us to take her home for her final days. They were very helpful and kind.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Whitney Baptist Church located at 2309 W. Dorian St. in Boise, Idaho.

Flowers are acceptable or donations can be made to cancer research or a charity of your choice.

Services are under the direction of Relyea Funeral Chapel.
