Mary Ann Collura, 43, a lifelong resident of Fair Lawn, NJ, tragically passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2003. She was a seasoned police officer since 1986 who was shot and ran over by a suspect during a high-speed chase. Omar Marti was driving an Oldsmobile Cutlass and was fatally shot after a long pursuit in Florida. Officer Collura was loved and respected by all who knew her. Beloved daughter of Helen Lynn (nee Westine) and the late Patsy Anthony Collura. Loving sister of Paul Collura and his wife Lauren, Patricia Snyder and her husband Jeffrey and Linda Hughes and her husband William. Cherished aunt of Amy Klenke, Brian Snyder, Scott Snyder, Jessica Hughes, Christopher Collura and Adam Collura. Visitation was offered on Monday, April 21, 2003 and Tuesday, April 22, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ. The funeral services were arranged in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass conducted at 11 AM in Saint Anne Roman Catholic Church, 15-05 Saint Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410. Interment followed at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
