He departed this life Monday (September 23, 2002) in his home at the age of 36. Rod was a brick mason. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Alpena. He is survived by his parents Larry and Lorene Bailey of Alpena; his sister, Denise Lynn Bailey of Alpena; his niece Kala Rae Anna Bailey of Alpena; his grandmothers, Juanita Franklin of Bakersfield, California, and Lula Bailey of Harrison; several aunts and uncles; and a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roy Franklin and Baud Bailey.
