A. Risenhoover
Alvin Risenhoover, World War I veteran, died at 4 a.m. today at the U.S. Veterans Administration Hospital at Fort Miley, San Francisco. He has been ill with a heart ailment for the past year and had been hospitalized for the past five weeks.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Parent Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Risenhoover, a native of Alton, Mo., spent most of his life in that state and since coming to Petaluma nine years ago had worked in the Poultry Producers mill. He lived at 340 Payran St.
He was the husband of Laura Risenhoover and the father of Eugene Risenhoover of St. Louis, Mo.; Ralph, Rex D. and James R. Risenhoover and Mrs. Mary Sulflow, all of Petaluma, and of Charles R. Risenhoover of East Prairie Junction, Mo. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Mr. Risenhoover was a member of Teamsters Warehouse Men’s Union Local 624 of Petaluma.

Funeral services for Alvin Risenhoover will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Parent Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery at San Bruno where the World War I veteran will be accorded full military honors.
Mr. Risenhoover died Thursday at the U.S. Veterans Hospital at Fort Miley, San Francisco, following a long illness.
