C.S. Munger, father of County Attorney Munger, died yesterday morning at his residence in this city. Mr. Munger had resided in Lincoln about two years and had been an invalid during that time.
He was born in Montgomery County, Ohio, in 1832, and resided in that state until 1877. During his active life he was engaged chiefly in school work and taught at various places in Ohio, Iowa and Nebraska. He was at one time principal of the Nebraska City high school. He was educated at the normal school at Lebanon, Ohio, where he met Margaret Ervin to whom he was married in 1859 and who survives him. Two children are left, T.C. Munger of this city, and Dr. E.E. Munger of Spencer, Iowa.
Mr. Munger was a man of exemplary character, of earnest convictions of duty, well read and informed. He came of a pioneer race of New England stock, his ancestors being among the very earliest settlers in Connecticut, Vermont and Ohio.
The funeral will take place on Monday at two o'clock from the residence, 801 North Thirty-second street.
