Daughter of John Matthew Young and Effie Catharine Dolly Holly. She married Thomas Tyler Cook in 1909.

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Irene Cook, 38, wife of T. T. Cook, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Berlin church, with Rev. H. W. Shirley, pastor of the First Baptist church, of this city, officiating.
Mrs. Cook died at the home, five miles northeast of Elk City, Thursday. The family has resided in this community for the past two years. Mrs. Cook was born in Texas, December 19, 1891.

Immediate members of the family surviving are Mr. Cook and seven children, five of whom live at the Cook residence. The sons are Jesse, Paul, Billie and Orville. Mrs. Opal Reed, a daughter is also living at the family residence. Mrs. Hazel Bates, another daughter, lives south of the city.

Interment was made in the Berlin cemetery. Killough-Hullum, funeral directors, were in charge.
