DEATH OF JAMES ALEXANDER
After a lingering illness, Mr. James M. Alexander, a well known carpenter died at his home, 16 Colonial street Friday. He was a native of Prince Edward Island but had made his made his home in this city for the past 45 years. The deceased is survived by a widow and three daughters, Mrs. Marion Duncan, Mrs. Edith Logothets and Mrs. Lillian Travers and five sons, James E., William J., George P., Albert I. and Harry Alexander and 14 grandchildren. Two brothers, John Alexander of this city and Dr. George Alexander of Gardiner, Maine and two sisters of Washington also survive.

Alexander - In Newport, R. I., on June 1, James M. Alexander, in his 68th year, passed to his eternal reward. He was the son of the late James and Mary Alexander of Wellington, P. E. I. He lived in Newport for the past forty-five years. He was married to Miss Lowell Perkins of Wakefield, R. I., and from this union their home was blessed with ten children, eight of whom and the mother are left to mourn his loss. He also leaves three brothers: Joseph, of Sydney, C. B.; John, of Newport, R. I.; and Dr. George W. Alexander, of Gardiner, Maine; also two sisters: Mrs. Ellen R. Smith and Mrs. Annie D. Effer, of Washington, D. C. His funeral took place from St. Joseph's Church, where a Solemn Reiquiem High Mass was celebrated by his pastor, Rev. Father Higney, assisted by Fathers McAleer and Marren. The burial was in the family lot at Wakefield, RI.
