She was the daugther of Thomas Panfry Watkinson and Cathrine Ann Blythman.

She first married William Ellingworth in 1856. Following his death in 1858, she later became the first wife of Thomas Brimacombe Mallett on June 19, 1859 at All Saints Church in South Yarra.

She died at the age of 30. She was the mother of seven children: Adelaide, Alfred, Ellen, Emily, Arthur, Beatrice (dec) amd Ernest.
