OBITTARY.
Mrs. Emily Gates.
Mrs. Emily Gates, widow of Chester Gates, died at her home in Rochester on Monday, after an illness of nearly a year with cancer. Mrs. Gates was 63 years old. She leaves three daughters and two sons. The remains were brought to St. Charles Wednesday for burial in Hillside cemetery beside her husband. Her sisters, Mrs. Sapho Harris of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Mrs. R. H. Cutter of Merriam Park, and A. W. and Merrill Bingham of New Ulm and Heber of Sleepy Eye were in attendance at the funeral.
