EDEN- Beatrice Carter Miller, 90, died Tuesday morning, March 28, 2006, at Morehead Nursing Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born in Pittsylvania County, Va., to the late Breular and Mary Newman Carter. She was a member of Dan River Primitive Baptist Church and was a volunteer for Morehead Memorial Hospital. She was retired from Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital in Salinas, Calif.

Surviving are daughter Mary Miller Cannaday of Martinsville, Va.; sons, Don Lee Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Frank Wayne Miller of Morgan Hill, Calif.; sisters, Maderia Carter Kovach of Seaford, Del.,Mary Sue Carter Little of Florida and Maxine Carter Ely of Alexandria, Va.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Mary Cannaday, 5718 Barrows Mill Road, Martinsville, Va.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dan River Baptist Church, c/o John Collie, 1620 Hampton Road, Reidsville, NC 27320-8282.
