Mrs. Lucille J. (Stiers) Zeugin, 73, of 2801 Ralph St., ill since October, was pronounced dead at home at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 1985, by Randall Irwin, Madison County deputy coroner. Born in Rhineland, Mo., Mrs. Zeugin moved to this area in 1929. She was member of St. John United Church of Christ and New Hope Chapter 432, Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Zeugin, Jan. 21, 1979, a son, Donald Zeugin, on Sept. 28, 1978 and a brother, Aubrey Stiers, in 1983. Survivors include another son, Charles Zeugin, Granite City; three sisters, Mrs. Ben (Jeannette) Lvingston and Mrs. Lottie Geringer, both of Granite City, and Mrs. Jesse (Margaret) Kleindienst of Hermann, Mo.; a brother, Cecil Stiers of University City, Mo.; a half sister, Edith Wolfmeier, and a half brother, Billy Stiers, both of Fulton, Mo.,; five grandchildren and two great-grandcildren. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Irwin Chapel for Fuenrals, 2801 Madison Ave. The Rev. Alan Reiter will conduct 11 a.m. services Saturday, June 15, at St. John United Church of Christ, 2901 Nameoki Road, with burial at St. John Cemetery. Memorials are requested for the church, American Cancer Society or Hospice of Madison County.
