Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Sayre of Ferguson, formerly Clark, were conducted this afternoon from the Clark Methodist Church by Dr. Robin Gould of Mexico. Burial was at Clark.
A short service was held Sunday afternoon in Ferguson. Mrs. Sayre died Saturday morning in a St. Louis Hospital, where she had been a patient since February.
Mrs. Sayre as a member of an old and prominent family of the Clark community, and Mr. Sayre was for 30 years, agent for the Wabash and Chicago and Alton Railroads at Clark, before being transferred to Ferguson. Their only son, Roswell, was killed in France and he is buried at Clark.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Sayre is survived by a brother Ed Green, of Clark, two sisters, Mrs. J.D. Street of Clark, and Mrs. Susie Dougherty, who lives in Kansas. There are several nieces and nephews in the Clark vicinity.
