HUSTONTOWN - Robert Glenn Strait, 85, Hustontown, died Tuesday, March 13, 1990, in Tucson (Ariz.) General Hospital, near where he made his winter home.
Born August 11, 1904, in Hustontown, he was a son of the late William A. and Malinda Edwards Strait.
He was a Methodist.
He was a self-employed salesman.
Surviving are three daughters, Mae (Mrs. Willis) Chilcote of Hustontown, Louise (Mrs. Steve) Hoffman of Chambersburg, and Jane (Mrs. Harold) Carmack of Hustontown; two sons, Robert of McConnellsburg and Perry of Hustontown; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Iva Barnett of Hustontown, Sylvia Rouzer of Fayetteville and Juanita Hockensmith of Harrison ville; two brothers, Arnold Melius of Greencastle and Norman Melius of Hagerstown, Md. Three sons, three great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in M.R. Brown Funeral Home. The Rev. James Hollister will officiate. Burial will be in Hustontown Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
