JACOB M. WEST DEAD.
Services over the body of Jacob McMain West, one of our well-known business men, who died last Saturday of heart disease at his home, 5310 Main street, aged 70 years, were held in St. Stephen's Methodist Episcopal Church, Main street above Ashmead street, on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. The deceased, who had conducted a painting and glazing business on Main street for many years, had served three years in the Civil War in Collis' Zouaves, was a charter member and trustee of St. Stephen's Church, a member of Walker Lodge, No. 306, I. O. O. F., and of Ellis Post, No. 6, G. A. R., having been bugler of the latter organization since its formation. Mr. West was born in Lewes, Del. He is survived by a widow and one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Sheppard, of Rockport, Maine. The interment was made at Ivy Hill Cemetery.
