David C. Groh, 66, of Wellington, passed away on Saturday, July 23, following a brief illness. David was born in Manitowoc, WI to the late Roland and Mary Groh. David attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison prior to moving to Florida where he obtained three Associates of Arts degrees in Ocean Science. Among his diverse careers the highlight was working as a commercial oil field diver in Louisiana. When he returned to Florida, he became involved in the civil engineering field. Upon retirement, his focus became the world's financial markets. David's passion for learning was surpassed only by his love of family. He was a hockey dad for Matt, his mentor and friend. Dave's humor, wit and unconditional love will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Pamela Heyer Groh; son, Matthew and extended family in Wisconsin. A visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM with a service beginning at 11:30 AM.
